DC: The conclusion of my first attempt at a trilogy veered off track somewhat, and I confess that I let it happen because I was rushing to meet deadline. The manuscript also ran seriously over length and had to be cut. As a result, some rather critical scenes intended to tie off subplots were sacrificed.
